Every year in Trenton Ontario, a Scottish/Irish Festival is held, and every year, my ma and I make an appearance to update our celtic jewelry collection.
This year, Alan Doyle and the Beautiful Gypsies stopped by to have their first ever show in Trenton.
Boy was it a party.
It’s been since New Years 2011 in Niagara Falls since I’ve seen Alan Doyle perform and that was when he was apart of Great Big Sea. My favourite part about Alan performing are the faces he tends to make. I also love the energy him and his band bring to the stage.
Opening for Alan was Steel City Rovers, although I have never heard of them before, their performance was as lively and fun as Alan’s.
Since I came home by train, and needed to pack light, I only had my Mark III and 24-70mm f/2.8. Although I normally like choice (70-200mm), they worked well for the night. As well all my shots were taken right side stage since I was not asked to be a photographer rather than I took the opportunity to bring my camera in hope I’d get a good view of the concert to get some rocking’ shots. I did.
Without further adieu, Alan Doyle photos.
